Training in Quantitative PCR

This training program will be conducted in collaboration with TATAA Biocenter, Sweden.

The complete revelation of genome in several species including humans and pathogenic organisms, have been fully sequenced by large with international collaborations. The data available in the public domains opened new possibilities to diagnose diseases and detect pathogens in biological samples. Hence, the molecular diagnostics field is currently growing fast and the market is a head of all categories. The Q-PCR technique is very widely used for gene expression analysis in biomedical research and pharmaceutical development helping the detection of nucleic acids with precision. Our course in quantitative real-time PCR (Q-PCR) offers researchers an overview of current technologies, instrumentation, and chemistries for quantification of nucleic acids. This course helps potential and current users of quantitative real-time PCR in areas of gene expression analysis, pathogen detection in food, animal and human samples, and clinical diagnostics.

Topics:

Basic PCR theory, The theory of real-time PCR
Applications and possibilities of Q-PCR
Comparison of Q-PCR with regular PCR
Review of currently available detection technologies like
